With its heft and details they designed Parcel Tray like a furniture instead of another stationery item on desktop. Instead of seeing it as another stationary item on our desktop that occupies space we want it to be seen more like a furniture. It is designed to be a background product that it contains, instead of visually competing with them. We named the product as Parcel because of its folded structure, stackablility and the way it is stored in workspaces.
Erdem Selek and Hale Selek established their Oregon-based product design atelier Selek Design, in January 2016. The atelier focuses on designing everyday objects that are inspired by ordinary intuitive behaviors in the daily lives. For Selek Design, a product should be as pure and simple as water that does not leave any scent or taste behind. Their products aim to have a silent character that go unnoticed.
